Because you'd rather jump ahead, then go ahead and look at the wikia page for things. You want it quickly and don't want to wait and follow the signals and explore from there. They will build a base without the multipurpose room until they find it. You have knowledge of pieces of the game new players don't have. I think the game right now does a good job of leading you further and further out to help you find those areas on your own.

Being that the game is in early access not everything has been implimented or had been full fleshed out.
You shouldn't need a map or guide or cheats to play. The signals should direct you to the areas you need to be in for certain upgrades to your playing.
